To love Ruse means to care about what we burn in our stoves, what kind of cars we drive, to be responsible for the health of our children. My wish is that the problem be public and the solution of mutual understanding, „Ruse Mayor Pencho Milkov said in a special address.
Once again, he addressed the issue of the domestic heating in the winter, which significantly increases the level of fine dust particles. Inspections are carried out and fines are imposed on violators who burn tires, chipboard, fabrics and any prohibited materials.
As air cleanliness is one of the most important problems for the city, Pencho Milkov has submitted a proposal to the Municipal Council for the appointing of a temporary committee to study all the facts and circumstances related to the air pollution in the Municipality of Ruse. It should provide all the information to the citizens and make a statement about the problem informing the local community.
As promised at his meeting with Minister Neno Dimov, Mayor Pencho Milkov expects to receive state-of-the-art surveillance equipment as a part of the national system for monitoring air pollution.
